abstract The present invention discloses a method for producing sialidase through methods such as cultivating a pseudomonas fluorescens JK-0412 strain culture, and a method for degrading a sialic acid precursor using enzymes produced thereby. By using a biological method involving the novel strain culture of the present invention, low molecular sugars and sialic acid of oligosaccharide, which play an important role in anti-virus, anti-cancer activities, and improved resistance activity for diabetes, can be effectively prepared from the sialic acid precursors of a polysialic acid, sialic acid oligosaccharide, etc., wherein pharmaceutical usage thereof is anticipated.
