It is found that the ionization efficiency of a sample sugar chain can be increased by carrying out a MALDI-TOF MS measurement after methylating a hydroxy group in the sugar chain, and therefore the quantitative analysis or structural analysis of the sample sugar chain can be achieved with high accuracy. |
