abstract |
The invention relates to a method for producing isocyanates, comprising (a) reacting at least one amine with phosgene in the gas phase in a reaction zone and (b) subsequently cooling the reaction gases in a cooling zone by means of indirect cooling, wherein the cooling medium absorbing the heat of the reaction gases is fed in counterflow to the product flow at least in the area of the highest temperature in the cooling zone. |
