abstract Disclosed is a mixed magnesium dialkoxide particulate, which contains magnesium diethoxide, achieved by a direct solid-liquid reaction between magnesium metal having an average particle diameter of between 50 μm and 500 μm, and at least two alcohols, ethyl alcohol and at least one type of alcohol having 3 to 6 carbon atoms; and contains alkoxides other than ethoxide constituting between 2.5 and 15 mole percent of the total; and the average particle diameter D 50 is between 20 and 100 μm; and the bulk density is greater or equal to 0.4 g/mL. The mixed magnesium dialkoxide can be used as a polymerization catalyst component in the polymerization of olefins such as propylene, and exhibits high breaking strength, high catalyst yield when preparing polymerization catalysts, and high polymerization activity.
