abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for producing a drug-coated stent and to a drug-coated stent produced by the method. The method comprises the following steps: (a) preparing a stent; (b) spray-coating the stent prepared in step (a) with a coating liquid in which biodegradable polymers and drugs are dissolved in a solvent; and (c) leaving the stent on which a coating layer is formed in step (b), under organic solvent vapors to anneal the coated surface. The method of the present invention produces a drug-coated stent which avoids long-term residue of drugs in the part of the body in which the stent is used, and which has a surface with a flat and uniform coating layer. Particularly, inner and outer surfaces of the stent of the present invention can be partially differently coated so as to achieve maximized stability with a human body. |
