Thermal insulation board which is comprised of organic matrix fibres and a binder which binds them together and of any possible additives, and a method of producing it. According to the present invention, the organic fibres (31) are bound to each other by polyolefin fibres (32) which are made from waste plastic or recycled plastic. Thus, the raw materials of the insulation board are most affordable, and the different components of the board can be produced separately from each other, in which case, after the binder fibres are produced, they are blown in between the matrix fibres and melt and adhere to those fibres. |
