titleOfInvention | Neutralization of harmful powders in mails |
abstract | Provided are a method and an apparatus for neutralizing harmful powders enclosed in mail items, comprising the exposure of said mail items to external electric field of suitable parameters. The volatility of any eventually present biologically or chemically active powders is annihilated, thereby limiting possibility of said powder to be inhaled after opening the mail. The apparatus may be very compact, and the process is spatially and temporally undemanding. The method does not require prior detecting said powder or verifying its presence, and it has no negative impact on the processed mail. |
