abstract |
The present application defines an insertion device (800) that can be used for automatic insertion of a combined sensor (700) and piercing device (900). The insertion device (800) is adapted to connect to sit over the needle hub (900) and sensor set (700) when those pieces are connected. The insertion device (800) is adapted to insert the infusion cannula (910) and sensor needle (920) into the skin of a patient. The insertion device (800) includes a housing (810), a button (840) and an opening (820) in the housing for receiving and covering at least a portion of the sensor set (700). |
