Provided is an acetylene compound, the molecule of which has been designed so as to have planarity and symmetricity whereby p electrons can be widely delocalized. The acetylene compound serves as an organic semiconductor material in which electrons move smoothly and which exhibits strong N-type characteristics. Also provided is an N-type organic semiconductor material comprising the acetylene compound. The acetylene compound is a compound represented by chemical formula (I), wherein at least four of R1 to R16, X1, and X2 are the same as or different from one another and represent linear, branched, and/or cyclic C1-20 perfluoroalkyl groups or fluorine atoms, and the remainder are the same as or different from one another and represent linear, branched, and/or cyclic C1-20 hydrocarbon groups or hydrogen atoms. |
