Use of highly coordinated silicon nanotubes as semiconductor materials for optoelectronic applications |
abstract |
The present invention relates to nanostructures useful as a semiconductor material for a photoelectric application, which include a silicon nanotube of the following general formula (I): where n ≥ 1; p ≥ 1; the -R1 groups are hydrogen atoms or bonds between the nanotube and the first solid object; the -R2 groups are hydrogen atoms or bonds between the nanotube and the second solid object; and where the nanotube is filled, completely or partially, with silicon, carbon or calcium atoms suitable for forming bonds with one or more silicon atoms of the nanotube. |
