titleOfInvention | Process for production of l-amino acid |
abstract | Disclosed is a novel process for producing an L-amino acid using a microorganism belonging to the genus Escherichia . Specifically disclosed is a process for producing an L-amino acid, characterized by culturing a microorganism in a culture medium to produce and accumulate the L-amino acid in the culture medium and collecting the L-amino acid from the culture medium, wherein the activity of any one protein selected from proteins [1] to [3] in the microorganism is improved compared with that in a parent strain of the microorganism: [1] a protein that comprises an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:2; [2] a protein that comprises an amino acid sequence produced by deleting, substituting or adding one or more amino acid in the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:2 and has an YeiG activity; and [3] a protein that comprises an amino acid sequence having a 80% or more homology with the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:2 and has an YeiG activity. |
