titleOfInvention An improved structure of dental implant
abstract A dental implant (1 ) comprises an endosseous body (10) having an apical portion (11 ), a central portion (12) and a crestal portion (13) along which a thread extends, in particular a double thread (15), and a collar (20) that in use is arranged at the upper or lower jaw bone, near to the crestal cortical bone. The dental implant (1 ) comprises, furthermore, a prosthetic pillar (30), or abutment tooth, having a first embracing portion (31 ) that is adapted to engage, in a rotationally blocked way, in a hole (25) obtained in the upper surface of the collar (20), and a second embracing portion extending from the collar (20) for determined length, in order to be located, in use, in the mouth of the patient. The portion (32) protruding in the mouth is adapted to couple in a rotationally blocked way with a prosthetic component (35). The thread (15) comprises a plurality of ridges (16) spaced by root spaces (17). At least one part of the ridges (16) has a concave profile edge with a predetermined radius of curvature (r).
