abstract Disclosed are new (E)-1-(3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-2-(3,5-dihydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl) ethylene with following structure formula (I) and its preparation method and use in the manufacture of a medicament for preventing and/or treating neurodegenerative diseases. It is proved by test that the compound has great protective effect on neurons and can markedly improve the learning and memory disorder in mice induced by scopolamine. Therefore, the compound has likely preventing and/or treating effect on neurodegenerative diseases and has potential use in the fields of pharmaceutics.
