abstract |
Disclosed is a method for manufacturing an electrophotography roller that has a surface layer in which electrical resistance is adjusted using corona discharge processing while the generation of pinholes and the like in the surface is suppressed. The method for manufacturing an electrophotography roller, which has a conductive axial core body and a conductive surface layer containing resin and carbon black dispersed in the resin, includes the following steps (1) to (3): (1) a step for forming a resin layer including resin and carbon black dispersed in the resin, the resin layer being formed at the periphery of the conductive axial core body; (2) a step for attaching silica particles to the surface of the resin layer; and (3) a step for performing corona discharge processing on the resin layer surface to which the silica particles have been attached. |
