abstract The invention relates to glass ceramics on the basis of the lithium disilicate system, which can be easily mechanically machined in an intermediate stage of the crystallization and which represent high-strength, highly translucent and chemically stable glass ceramics after complete crystallization. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing said glass ceramics. The glass ceramics according to the invention are used as dental material.
