titleOfInvention Nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery material, and nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using same
abstract A lithium ion battery (1) comprises a lithium ion battery body (2) which has a positive electrode terminal (2A) and a negative electrode terminal (2B) that are formed so as to protrude, and is provided with a safety valve that is an opening means not shown, and a casing (3) which houses the lithium ion battery body (2). An absorbent material (4) that is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery material is filled into the casing (3). Even if the temperature of the lithium ion battery body (2) increases, the safety valve is cleaved, and an electrolyte in the lithium ion battery body (2) is vaporized and jetted when an abnormality occurs in the operation of the lithium ion battery body (2), most of the vaporized electrolyte is rapidly absorbed by the absorbent material (4) and immobilized. Consequently, the release and leakage of the electrolyte accompanying gasification thereof at the time of temperature increase due to electric abnormality, the jet of the electrolyte accompanying internal pressure increase caused by gas produced by electrolysis or the like, and the like can be prevented.
