abstract The present invention relates to a nanohybrid material of salinomycin and inorganic hydroxide for killing cancer stem cells, and to a pharmaceutical composition for treating cancer including the nanohybrid material. As the nanohybrid material according to the present invention consists of salinomycin and inorganic hydroxide, the biocompatibility of the salinomycin is good, and exhibits treatment activity using a comparatively low dosage concentration by means of improved specific transfer efficiency to cancer cells, such that it can be widely used for general targeted therapy for cancer.
