The present invention relates to a device for cauterising tissues, in particular liver tissues. The "electrocautery" device can reach, with elongated rods (5), various cautery depths. In order to enhance the cautery capabilities of the appliance, a ionic solution is passed through a tube (6) inside the handle (2) of the device, distinctly shortening surgery time and transoperative bleeding. Although the present invention is an invasive method, it does not significantly alters hepatic transminase levels, which indicates that the liver tissue next to the liver incision site is preserved. |
