abstract |
Disclosed is a methanol synthesis catalyst which is improved with respect to the activity, life and strength.nSpecifically disclosed is a methanol synthesis catalyst which is characterized by containing copper, zinc and alumina as essential components at a copper/zinc atomic ratio within the range of 1-3. The methanol synthesis catalyst is also characterized in that: the methanol synthesis catalyst has an alumina content of 3-20% by weight; the alumina source is an alumina hydrate that has a pseudo-boehmite structure; and the methanol synthesis catalyst is obtained by being molded so as to have a density of 2.0-3.0 g/ml. |
