titleOfInvention | Method for performing a phase conversion |
abstract | The invention relates to a method for performing a phase conversion, in particular a melting process, by means of heating a carrier medium that comprises or constitutes a phase-variable material, in a reactor, wherein the carrier medium is brought into contact with a solid heating medium, which can be heated by means of electromagnetic induction and which is located within the reactor and surrounded by the carrier medium, and the heating medium is heated by means of electromagnetic induction using an inductor, wherein the phase-variable material enters a phase conversion and wherein the carrier medium is separated from the heating medium after the phase conversion. Said method preferably takes place in a flow reactor. The inductor preferably generates an alternating field having a frequency in the range of 1 to 100 kHz. |
