abstract A method and an apparatus for non-invasively measuring carotid-femoral-pulse-wave-velocity (CFPWV) of a living subject are disclosed. A plurality of cuffs are used for measuring first blood pressure parameters, a second blood pressure measuring step is carried out based on first computed and analyzed results, an electrocardiogram is recorded using an electrocardiograph, a plurality of highest voltage level waveforms is simultaneously recorded from the plurality of inflated cuffs, a time difference (T L ) between highest voltage level waveform starting points from at least two predetermined positions is determined, an averaged peripheral pulse-wave-velocity (PWV) of the living subject is determined, finally carotid-femoral-pulse-wave-velocity (CFPWV) values are calculated from averaged peripheral pulse-wave-velocity and displayed.
