abstract The invention relates to a coordination polymer made up of connectors and ligands comprising a plurality of M-L-M structures in which M is a metal belonging to columns VIIB, VIII, IB or IIB of the periodic table and L is an imidazolate ligand with formula (I), where R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are, independently from one another: H; a C 1 -C 40 alkyl group, preferably C 1 -C 3O , more preferably C 1 -C 12 ; a C 2 -C 40 alkenyl group, preferably C 2 -C 30 , more preferably C 2 -C 12 mono- or poly-unsaturated; halogen, preferably chloro, nitro, aryl, heteroaryl; an -O-R or -S-R group or a -C(O)R group or a -C(O) group or a -C(S)NHR group, in which R is a C 1 -C 40 alkyl group, preferably C 1 -C 30 , more preferably C 1 -C 12 , or -CHO or -R-C(O)H, at least one of the groups R 1 , R 2 and R 3 being a -C(O)R group or a - C(O)NHR group or a -C(S)NHR group or -CHO or -R-C(O)H, except when R 1 is -CHO and R 2 and R 3 are H, in which case M is Zn. The invention also relates to a method for preparing same and to the use of said compounds as a molecular sieve.
