titleOfInvention Nonwoven fabric and method for manufacturing same
abstract Nonwoven fabric through which soft feces pass easily.nNonwoven fabric (1) is formed by welding thermoplastic synthetic-resin short fibers (11) together. Ridges (6) and furrows (7) which undulate in the widthwise direction (B) and extend side-by-side in the lengthwise direction (A) are formed on the surface (2) of the nonwoven fabric (1). When the nonwoven fabric (1) is placed on a horizontal plane (H) with the rear surface (3) of the nonwoven fabric facing down, large cavities (21) are formed between the rear surfaces (3) of the ridges (6) and the horizontal plane (H). The short fibers (11) are tilted near the crests of the ridges (6) so as to extend in the thickness direction of the nonwoven fabric (1).
