A medical treatment instrument (12) for bonding two pieces of biological tissue (L1, L2) to each other includes at least a pair of holding members (52, 54) for holding the pieces of biological tissue to be bonded, energy output sections (92, 94) provided to at least one of the pair of holding members, connected to an energy source (14), and adapted for supplying energy to the pieces of biological tissue held by the pair of holding members, bonding the pieces of biological tissue, and forming a bonded part (C), and bonding maintenance assisting sections (92a, 94a) on which a substance preventing water from permeating into the pieces of biological tissue to be treated is applicable so that the maintenance of the bonded state of the pieces of biological tissue is assisted. |
