An organic electroluminescence device which has on a substrate a pair of electrodes and a light emitting layer sandwiched between the electrodes, characterized by containing in the light emitting layer a compound represented by the following formula (1) and a particular indium complex; wherein Cz represents a substituted or unsubstituted arylcarbazolyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted carbazolylaryl group, L represents a single bond, a substituted or unsubstituted arylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkylene group, or a group derived from a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaromatic ring, A represents a group derived from a substituted or unsubstituted nitrogen-containing heteroaromatic 6-membered ring, and each of p and q independently represents an integer from 1 to 6. |
