abstract |
An experimental animal is administered with an organ inflammation inducer to induce insulin resistance in the animal, and the animal is subsequently reared by using a high-fat feed to induce fatty liver in the animal. As a result, steatohepatitis can be developed in the animal successfully. The animal has similar pathological features to those observed in human bodies. By using the model animal, it becomes possible to effectively carry out the screening of a therapeutic or prophylactic substance for a disease and the evaluation of the pharmacological efficacy of a drug. |
