abstract The present invention relates to a film composite material (1), comprising at least one base layer (2) made of a base layer material, said layer having a first surface (21) and a second surface (2"), and a first cover layer (5) made of a first cover layer material, said layer completely covering the first surface (21) of the base layer (2). The base layer material is a polybutylene terephthalate material, and the first cover layer material is a polyester material that is different from the base layer material. The film composite material (1) may comprise a second cover layer and a first intermediate layer between the base layer and the first cover layer, and a second intermediate layer between the base layer and the second cover layer. Preferred materials for the base layer and the cover layers are polybutylene terephthalate and polyethylene terephthalate glycol copolymer. The invention further relates to a data carrier card (10), which comprises the film composite material (1) according to the invention as the carrier film for a data carrier (11). The invention further relates to methods for producing the film composite material (1) and the data carrier card (10).
