The present invention relates to a piezochrome material substantially comprising a matrix of a polymer or copolymer, wherein a liquid crystal and a chiral optical active substance are provided in a distributed manner. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a piezochrome composite material wherein a layer of the above-mentioned piezochrome material is embedded between two polymer films. The pieozochrome material or the composite material is primarily used in the sensor technology. |
