abstract The invention relates to a method and further to a device for simulating the radiation of a first directable radiation emitter, the incidence of which radiation on a target volume is to be verified, wherein: - at least one ultrasonic transducer spatially coupled to the first, inoperative radiation emitter is directed onto to the target volume in an adjustable emission direction; at least one ultrasonic-based shot from the ultrasonic transducer is introduced into the target volume and is incident in a local punctual manner; - at least one ultrasonic probe records at least a part of the target volume in an ultrasonic image, - a means for determining the position of an ultrasonic-based marking of the shot in the image is used, - a distance between the position of the marking and a location of the incidence to be verified is determined and checked.
