abstract |
A liquid to be treated having particles of an object to be treated dispersed therein is accommodated in a treatment tank (10) provided with a bottom section (10g) which narrows in the downward direction. The liquid to be treated is removed from a position that is lower than the liquid surface in the treatment tank (10) and returned to the bottom section (10g) of the treatment tank (10) to circulate the liquid to be treated while forming an eddy current. Then, air bubbles are supplied to the liquid to be treated from the bottom of the treatment tank (10) to separate a first component contained in the froth and a second component which is contained in the liquid to be treated and which is less susceptible to floating than the first component. |
