The invention concerns a device for dispensing nicotine that comprises: a body (12) for accommodating a nicotine deposit (40); an electric heating device (30) which, when activated, generates heat to release nicotine from the nicotine deposit (40) into an airflow through the body (12); a power supply for operating the heating device (30); and a control unit (28) for activating the heating device (30) when air is sucked in through the body (12). The control unit (28) is coupled to a sensor (16) for ascertaining the flow pressure prevailing in the body (12). The sensor (16) continuously ascertains the flow pressure present in the body (12) and generates a signal U on the basis of the ascertained flow pressure. The control unit (28) varies the heating capacity of the heating device (30) on the basis of the course of the signal U generated by the sensor (16). |
