Composition including dialkyl tin oxide and use thereof as a transesterification catalyst for the synthesis of (meth)acrylic esters |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a composition including a dialkyl tin oxide, such as DBTO, which can be used as a transesterification catalyst for the synthesis of (meth)acrylic esters. The invention also relates to a method for the synthesis of (meth)acrylic esters by transesterification in the presence of said composition. The composition of the invention is a solution with a concentration of dialkyl tin oxide. The composition is easy to implement in a continuous process and results in an enhanced selectivity in relation to solid DBTO or the homolog thereof. Advantageously, the compounds used for producing the solution of dialkyl tin oxide are the reagents used in the transesterification reaction and with or without the product of said reaction. |
