The administration of the RGS-14 protein, also known as a regulator of G-protein signalling 14, to the brain produces an increase in object recognition memory in mice. Thus, the RGS-14 protein can be used to produce a drug for the therapeutic and/or preventive treatment of memory disorders in mammals, as well as diseases associated with these disorders, such as neurological diseases and neurodegenerative diseases, plus developmental disorders and ageing. |
