abstract | Disclosed is a process for producing a silane coupling agent, which enables the reduction in time required for the production while preventing the occurrence of any side reaction. More specifically, the process for producing a silane coupling agent is characterized by comprising a step of reacting a silane compound (A) with a compound (B) having a hydroxyl group and containing an atom having an unshared electron pair other than an oxygen atom derived from the hydroxyl group in the absence of any solvent to produce a silane compound (C) that has an alkoxyl group and contains an atom having an unshared electron pair other than an oxygen atom derived from the hydroxyl group. |
