In particular, the invention relates to a process for treating a compound of formula III, wherein R 1 is C 1 -C 6 alkyl and R 2 is CF 3 , CF 2 H or CFH 2 , comprising the steps of a) contacting a compound of formula III with base, and b) separating the compound of formula III and the base.
