titleOfInvention | A differential charge oscillation device |
abstract | A differential charge oscillation device (100), including at least three mutually spaced but electromagnetically coupled electrically conductive bodies, the bodies including: a first electrically conductive body ( 102) for generating first charge oscillations therein; a second electrically conductive body (104) for generating second charge oscillations therein; and a third electrically conductive body (106) electromagnetically coupled to the first conductive body and to the second conductive body such that the first charge oscillations generated in the first conductive body and the second charge oscillations generated in the second conductive generate third charge oscillations in the third conductive body. A particular use of the device includes sensing or detecting biological or chemical species of interest, via coupled surface plasmon resonances (SPR) in the device. |
