The present invention relates to a roll for a paper, board, finishing or tissue machine, said roll comprising a roll body and a cover arranged on said roll body, said cover comprising a bottom layer comprising matrix material and fibres and a functional layer comprising matrix material and fibres. In a typical roll according to the present invention, the glass transition temperature of the matrix material of the bottom layer is at least 20 ÂșC lower than the glass transition temperature of the matrix material of the functional layer. |
