titleOfInvention Pseudo-monofilament yarn and method for producing same
abstract Provided is a pseudo-monofilament yarn which is formed by using a thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer, has a high heat resistance, and can achieve both a high strength and a high rigidity (flexibility). The pseudo-monofilament yarn consists of multiple filaments each of which comprises a heat-resistant thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer. Within the pseudo-monofilament yarn, fused parts, wherein adjacent filaments are fused to each other, are preset together with voids wherein adjacent filaments are not fused to each other. In said pseudo-monofilament yarn, the melting point of the thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer may be about 260°C to about 360°C.
