titleOfInvention | Method for producing homopolymers and copolymers containing (alkoxy)polyalkylene glycol(meth)acrylate and the use of polymers produced that way |
abstract | Method for producing polymers and copolymers by way of solution polymerization of monomers, wherein at least 0.01 mole percent and up to 100 mole percent of the monomers, based on the entirety of monomers which can be polymerized, are alkoxypolyalkylene glycol(meth)acrylates of the following formula (I), where R is hydrogen or methyl and R1 is an alkyl or aryl group comprising 1 to 50 carbon atoms, where R1 may be substituted by sulfur or nitrogen or by groups containing sulfur or nitrogen, and where n can be a numerical value of 5 to 200 and m can be a numerical value of 0 to 200, characterized in that the solution polymerization is performed continuously, using a mixing ratio of monomers and solvent outside of the miscibility gap. Thus, an economical production of copolymers is possible, having defined compositions in a relatively high concentration range relative to the solvent, without having to concentrate the solution of the polymer or the reaction having an excessive heat tone. |
