abstract | Disclosed is a lithium battery which comprises a positive electrode (10) comprising a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode (11) comprising metal lithium or a lithium alloy as a negative electrode active material, a separator (12) arranged between the positive electrode (10) and the negative electrode (11), and an organic electrolytic solution. The lithium battery is characterized in that the positive electrode active material comprises γ-β type of manganese dioxide containing boron and magnesium, and that the organic electrolytic solution comprises an aromatic sulfone compound, a non-aqueous solvent and a lithium salt. The lithium battery has excellent storage properties at high temperatures. |
