titleOfInvention | Measurement device used for specifically detecting substance to be examined using photocurrent, sensor unit used for same, and method for specifically detecting substance to be examined using photocurrent |
abstract | A photocurrent induced by photoexcitation of a dye is used to specifically detect a substance to be examined. A charge current produced when a sensor unit is fabricated is discharged. When detecting the photocurrents from a plurality of detection spots on a working electrode, immediately preceding photocurrents originated from the detection spots and becoming noise currents are discharged. Thus, accurate detection is possible. A measuring device of the invention is provided with a sensor unit comprising a working electrode, a counter electrode, and an electrolyte-containing body, a single or a plurality of light sources for illuminating the working electrode with light, an XY moving mechanism for moving the light sources relatively in the XY direction with respect to the working electrode, an ammeter for measuring the current flowing between the working electrode and the counter electrode, and a discharge mechanism for discharging a charge current and the immediately preceding photocurrents originated from detection spots. A specifically detecting method using the measuring device is performed under control of the timing of light illumination and the timings of connection to the ammeter and the discharge mechanism. |
