titleOfInvention Board or slab formed by stone agglomerate containing an organic binder of vegetable origin
abstract The invention relates to boards or slabs formed by stone agglomerate, the production of which comprises the use of an organic binder containing an ingredient of vegetable origin. Such boards or slabs are formed from granulated stone materials or similar which are subsequently agglomerated by means of a binder, specifically an organic resin containing one or more polyols of vegetable origin. Furthermore, through the use of the binder together with materials originating from waste and used and/or recycled products it is possible to obtain a high-performance material having a very high content of recycled or renewable-source material. The resulting board or slab containing in part a resin of vegetable origin is particularly suitable for use indoors, such as for kitchen or bathroom tops or any work surface, as well as for use as flooring or panelling.
