abstract |
This invention discloses a method for determining dissolved hydrocarbons in an amine solvent or sulfinol solution qualitatively and quantitatively. The analysis of dissolved hydrocarbons is done by diluting the sample with water and injecting it into the Gas Chromatograph via an auto injector. The sample components are separated by a polar column with oven temperature programming and detected by flame ionization detector (FID). The compositions of dissolved hydrocarbons are computed by gas chromatography or GC Chemstation based on the External Standard Method (ESTD). |
