abstract Disclosed herein is a method of using an oligonucleotide microarray to detect cancer from serum micro RNA. The method provides a microarray of oligonucleotide probes. A serum miRNA sample is hybridized to the microarray of oligonucleotide probes. The oligonucleotide probes comprise complementary probes to the miRNAs in the serum miRNA sample and mismatch probes having mismatches from the complementary probes as well as control spike in probes.
