abstract A mordant, a hair dyeing composition thereof and a method for dyeing hair are provided. The mordant comprises ferrite and antioxidant, the hair dyeing composition comprises softener, dyeing agent and the said mordant. The antioxidant is ascorbic acid or cysteine and the dyeing agent is gallic acid or its ester. The mordant and the dyeing composition are safe and free from irritation, and have good color depth, fastness, stability and convenience.
