Set of primers, probes, a method and a kit for the detection and differentiation of dna sequences specific to brucella spp. and mycobacterium tuberculosis complex |
abstract |
The invention relates to a set of primers, probes, a method and a kit for molecular diagnosis that can be used to differentiate between Brucella spp. and Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex, intended, more specifically, for the detection of DNA specific to germs of the Brucella genus and of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis genus in non-blood clinical samples, based on simultaneous amplification of DNA from both genuses, by means of multiple real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) (M-RTPCR). The technique developed has been shown to be much more sensitive than bacteriological methods and more specific than the usual serological methods, the use thereof allowing the implementation of a simple rapid method for differential molecular diagnosis between extrapulmonary tuberculosis and focal complications produced by Brucella spp. in clinical samples from patients. |
