abstract |
Provided is an alkenyl succinic anhydride sizing agent composition with superior water resistance and emulsion stability that does not soil easily during use, said alkenyl succinic anhydride sizing agent composition being an emulsion obtained by emulsifying a mixture comprising 60-95 wt.% of an alkenyl succinic anhydride that is liquid at 25? and 5-40 wt.% of a 2-oxetanone compound that is liquid at 25?, the 2-oxetanone compound preferably fulfilling (1) and (2) below: (1) a 2-oxetanone compound obtained from a fatty acid mixture comprising a C8-10 fatty acid at 8-20 wt.% and a C12-18 fatty acid at 92-80 wt.% (2) a 2-oxetanone compound obtained from a fatty acid mixture as described in (1), which comprises an unsaturated fatty acid at 2 wt.% or less. |
