The present invention relates to oligonucleotides and to a method for determining the standardized degree of methylation of DNA and for determining the relative degree of methylation of DNA between at least two samples. The random distribution of transposons in the genome is utilized herein. The disclosed oligonucleotides and method are in particular significant to clinical diagnostics. |
