abstract |
The invention relates to a method for improving the performance of a motor vehicle (100; 110) with a transmission which has a plurality of gear steps. The method entails the steps of acting manually upon a facility (280) in such a way that a predetermined functionality for any one of the present gear steps of said transmission is activated; wherein - said manual acting differs from the normal acting for choosing a gear step of said transmission. Said predetermined functionality may entail controlling a slip-in process of an automated clutch of the transmission, reducing an engine torque requested by the driver and/or upward limitation of the engine speed to a predetermined value. The invention relates also to a computer programme product comprising programme code (P) for a computer (200; 210) for implementing a method according to the invention. The invention relates also to a device and a motor vehicle which is equipped with the device. |
