abstract A method and apparatus for transmitting uplink control information on the data channel in a multi-carrier wireless communication system is provided. An Uplink Control Information (UCI) transmission method in a wireless communication system supporting multicarrier transmission according to the present invention includes channel-coding a UCI with reference to a number of UCI bits available; dividing the channel coded UCI bits into a number of Physical Uplink Shared Channels (PUSCHs); and transmitting the UCI multiplexed with data on the individual PUSCHs.
